Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.” (Ephesians 5:20).

Since my birth, God’s blessings for me have not halted and I remain grateful for His gifts and His work in my life. God blesses those who believe in and follow Him, such as Abraham, Job, and David, whose faith brought the blessings of God into their lives. Christians should always remember that God gave us everything that we have, and we ought to be thankful for receiving such things from God, even for the food we eat. God has brought so many blessings into my life that I could not list them all, but there are a few that I can talk about that have come from this year alone.

Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless His holy name. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits.” (Psalm 103:1-2).

The first thing for me to thank God for relates to the recent election results. I thank God that Mrs. Hillary Clinton was prevented from worsening the condition of this nation that has already been in decline. Without a president that will support abortion and the degradation of our Bill of Rights, this country will have a chance to follow God’s path once again. I thank God for this because, recently, our nation is on the road away from God’s light. However, now that we have prevented Mrs. Hillary Clinton from taking office, it is now possible for our nation to be repentant of our sins and become a nation under God once again.

Therefore also now, saith the LORD, turn ye even to Me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning. And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the LORD your God; for He is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth of the evil.” (Joel 2:12-13).

The next few blessings I would like to thank God for are relevant to my studies at school.

God has blessed me on my recent Advanced Placement tests with a score of 4 out of 5 for both my English and History tests. I would like to thank God for helping me achieve good grades in my classes and for helping me to be able to obtain a class rank in the top 10 percent of my class of 585 people. Thanks to God, my high class rank allowed me to be eligible to join the National Honor Society, which will help me when I apply for college in next year.

Lastly, because of the grades God has blessed me with, I am able to receive my first scholarship of 4,000 dollars from the University of Texas of Tyler. Without God, I would not have been able to obtain the grades and status I have and I remain thankful of Him.

I would like to thank God for His role in not only my life, but also that of my family. He provides for our needs such as food, clothing, and materials for study and leisure. Also, I would like to thank God for my family who provided for my needs. I am thankful for their help in what I am unable to do. I would also like to thank God for touching the hearts of the church members who support my parents’ ministry however they can. I thank God for His protection of our family from harm and tragedy and for His guidance in our family. I thank God for giving knowledge to us so that we may understand His word and know Him better. Ultimately I thank God for sending His son, Jesus Christ, as a sacrifice for my sins, so that I may have salvation through Him.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ.” (Ephesians 1:3).
